Welcome to the Procurement Department of SMS Demag. We are an internationally leading manufacturer of plant and machinery for the metallurgical and rolling mills industry. In the 2002 fiscal year, our locations at Düsseldorf, Hilchenbach, Hilden, Mönchengladbach, Essen, Milan and Genoa purchased goods and services totalling more than 630 million Euro. These included production materials, equipment, components, investment goods and services for destinations worldwide.

In order to safeguard our customers’ right to enjoy products of high economy and quality, we are continually on the lookout for well qualified and efficient suppliers. The decision to enter into a contractual relationship with a new supplier is taken only after careful examination of the offered product quality, prices and delivery periods.
