Strength in numbers.SMS Siemag South Africa is a 100% owned subsidiary of SMS Siemag AG, who in turn belongs to SMS Holding GmbH. This is the holding company for a group of internationally active companies in metallurgical plant construction and mechanical engineering relating to the processing of steel, ferro-alloy, and non-ferrous metals.
In 2011 the SMS Group attracted an order intake of €3.423 billion (2010: €2.931 billion) and realised turnover of about EUR 3.070 billion (2010: €3.036 billion), during which period we had an average of 10,477 employees (2010: 9,209) worldwide.
