Strength in numbers.SMS Siemag South Africa is a 100% owned subsidiary of SMS Siemag AG, who in turn belongs to SMS Holding GmbH. This is the holding company for a group of internationally active companies in plant construction and mechanical engineering relating to the processing of steel, ferro-alloy, and non-ferrous metals.
In 2010 the SMS Group attracted an order intake of €2.931 billion (2009: €2.341 billion) and realised turnover of about EUR 3.036 billion (2009: €3.891 billion), during which period we had an average of 9,209 employees (2009: 9,001) worldwide.
